DRAFTING some thinking

We need to outreach to a devers crew - outreach.

Need a website, look at what we used before, need a big BBB instance

let's do the same format as last time, organized by socialhub (as a non-owned space, this bit is important)

Get people to do prerecorded talks - upload, then to conftube (or aggregated them in to the instance)

  • we need a consensus on what is relevant and what is not - this is both easy and very difficult - we need the easy path (#4opens)
  • format think it was 30-45 min min pre-recorded video
  • then a live Q&A for one hour at the event, with chat and wiki page from BBB

OPTIONAL: We can have some Pannal LIVE or not - I don't like these, but other people do.

OPTIONAL: Have an opening circal of people introducing themselves, one min each maybe?

OPTIONAL At the end of each day we can have an open feedback session, one hour, anyone can give feedback, min moderation to get a diversity of voices (done the easy not hard way)

To be thought about

We have the issue of time zones, the old events were more Europe focused, we now have a much more globe and bigger numbers

We could run 2 tracks at different time zones over 2 days - the won't be perfect overlap but better than imperialism of a single Timezone.

Much better to get the fediyforum people onboard than them running a counter event, this is likely possible, even if it is one event after the other spread over a few months.

TO KEEP IT #KISSS

We don't have any complex criteria or exclusions, we use simple tools like #4opens and #openweb to decide what is and what is not invited, in this most things are invited, we don't get caught up in power politics and cat fights - nobody wants this path.

We cross the dev social divide - we PUSH this crossing as hard as we can as this is the subject of the event and the #fedivers itself.
