Fashernisat
I have been talking about the fashernisatas for the last few years, its an idea/group that I have been struggling to work with my whole time in the alt/grassroots. So what is a #fahernista? A group of individuals who value/push there own individual advancement over the needs of the croup and community, generally they do not realise or see that they are doing this. This has the end affect of diluting and killing off possible alternatives and selling “grassroots” to NGO's and corporatist agenda’s. #fashernista takeing over projects in hand with the geek problem's has lead to endless dead-ends in all alt/grassroots tech. Most recently this has manifested in encrypt everything, bitcoin/blockchain ect. this is a dead end.
The #OMN linking project is basic tech that I have been working on for more than 10 years, in past times the has been more interesting tech/social problems in alt/grassroots media to work on so linking has taken a back seat as its basic stuff. At this stage we only have the basics left. Lets take a first step linking alt/grassroots producers, and build tools to push this into a #rebooted open web to start the needed move out of the #dotcon ghetto's. Lets try as hard as we can to avoid #fahernisa take over of this basic #reboot. #fahernista will set-up parallel projects, raise parallel funding, push these into the traditional media and dominate the #dotcon conversation. Non of this inevitable pointless #fahernista noise should distract from the basics, as it will just flash bang and fad into nothing. Keep the basics going, linking, building. In the long term the rest is noise, distraction, for the conspiracy minded its our very own “false flag”.
Hummm... how to spot drift into the #fahernisat agenda?
The is a strong anti-dote in the #4opens
PS. I have a closed group doing EXACTLY what am talking about in the above old post, at this moment.
This is a draft please do not spread as am not sure what to do about this.
The has been a dark CLOSED cloud following me around the light OPENWEB.
All my projects are #4opens so you are of course free to take them and run somewhere nice with them, its what they are for. But the is basic decent behaver to take into account of linking and acknowledgement. Last few days, Had 2 comments taken down as SPAM on failbook and my github account "Your account has been flagged. Because of that, your profile is hidden from the public." got a feeling this might come from this:
The Facebook post/“SPAM” was taken down replying to a post on the MediaFund Facebook page.
I had discovered they were working on some new "open" media tech.
“MF. The MediaFund We have some tech in the works so keep an eye out!”
They always do projects closed and silo'ed so put some slightly pointy points to um to ask um to address this.
“H. Hay if you don't run it through open-process ie. tell people about it, the is a certainty it will be flawed and a possibility it will be useless. Please do not do #blackbox projects any-more.
H. Have a look at the http://hamishcampbell.com/en/4opens how dues your project for fill them. Please provide a link to "open process" so I can give you feedback please.”
I then found the project on the groups Medium Page and it was an exact copy of my current project.
My next few posts was removed as SPAM. So I send a polite but pointy email saying they were doing an exact copy of a existing open source project with no linking back or acknowledgement.
The reply: "This is great development, well done for inspiring a potential advance in media"
Time for a bit of history from the same person/group.
He has been trailing my work in alt tech for a long time, he tried to get involved in visionontv but at a bad time (draft account) https://github.com/Openmedianetwork/Altmedia-history/wiki/History-of-the-visionontv-project

The same guy, the tech for the realmedia.press project from 4-5 years ago was a copy of what we were trying to build at the visionontv project more than 10 years before. We could not make the aggregation work and the project though very successful in many ways remind a shadow. visionontv Both projects have changed since. He did the same project, made the aggregation work, but as a closed/silo not a open network and it obversely failed from this closed/owned approach.

We started to do a app for the #OMN (this page runs as a native web app on android) talked to him about it. A bit latter he did a centralized closed/silo version http://realmedia.press/app/ with no linking back or acknowledgement. Which is now pointless and little used.

Building out a funding network - The Open Media Fund I did this project to fund open media 6 years ago http://fund.openworlds.info/home This new project with the same name https://themediafund.org/ (with open taken out) booted up 2 years ago by the same guy I talked to him before/during/after about this. No acknowledgment.
-
This project is running now http://omn.openworlds.info/ i started the idea around 5 years ago and booted up a year ago. Talk to the same guy about it. This exact same project (closed) is now being done by him, the same guy with no linking back https://github.com/Openmedianetwork/Altmedia-history/wiki/Projects
The problem The #fashernistas are now flooding into #openweb projects. Reminder "closed" dues not work and "open" is hard to hold in place. Common sense "closed" will be pushed on to the #openweb reboot and "open" will be pushed aside leading to the openweb reboot failing.
Solution Please judge projects by the #4opens before pushing and supporting them to take a step to a positive outcome.
