- keep it simple

- use existing tools to build an open network, then let the users decide how to use it
This is the “news” part of indymedia; the privacy-focussed, activist part is needed as well. In the end, the network consistes of human-moderated flows of information that are technologically neutral - anything can be a hub and/or peer in the network.
