The background RSS daemon updates every 20 mins, so the longest theoretical latency currently is 40 mins between send and receive on two instances. That frequency could be changed, but it probably doesn't need to be very rapid, and keeping it slow reduces strain on servers.

When you're running on an SBC one thing you don't want it doing is sending or receiving data too frequently.
