Phone/ Tablet Apps worth trying

• Conversations seems good.

• DarkMessenger is a tor darknet xmpp chat app based on Conversations. Here's a direct link to the .apk and its' development repo.
  It can be verified with this GPG key and signature. This assumes you have some commandline knowledge an gpg installed.
  Command is:
  gpg --verify DarkMessenger-1.4.00.apk.asc
  And the key should be CC2536191FA7C33F

• Pix-Art-Messenger Untested, but open source and appears worth looking into.

Other clients

All three highlighted here have OMEMO support.

• gajim behaves pretty nicely. Currently the authors choice for desktop.

• profanity CLI¹ rather than GUI². Small review and guide here. Not sure if it's out of date (from 2016).

• dino Worth a try perhaps, though I (the author) found the UI a bit over-simplified, and was not entirely comfortable with OMEMO integration.
