This form can be used to request support for your project. Note that some larger funds like NGI Assure Fund (part of the Next Generation Internet initiative) have special and strict conditions, and you'd better have a look at them before you submit a proposal. Also note that releasing software, hardware and content under libre/open licenses, and the application of open standards where possible are transversal requirements for all. From our end we will provide a transparent and efficient selection process. Please check the call-specific guide for applicants for the call you are interested in.
Please also don't forget to look into our privacy statement about how we deal with your information (should be a pleasant surprise, actually - we really care about your privacy. Throughout the years we've funded the development of quite some widespread privacy enhancing technologies ourselves).

Organisation (max. 100 characters) #OMN a standards based political software framework to build #KISS and #4opens grassroots semantic web of trust links and flows. We do this by outlining a human understandable workflow and then building apps for real world use. We are agnostic on the underlighing technology and programming as long as it is #4opens based.

General project information
Distilled, grassroots, radical governance is a good fit for the fediverse.
This working practice comes from 30 years of building from The Tyranny of Structureless tick box list.
From the perspective of a radical, grassroots, social technologist this is distilled into a codebase, as a “permissionless” roll-out of frameworks for social groups to form and see/govern themselves.

Abstract: Can you explain the whole project and its expected outcome(s).
The #OGB is not a traditional top down fight for power like the #mainstreaming agenda, rather it is a bootem up grassroots fight for sharing power like meany of the 20th century social movement that created the current mainstreaming

“The is such a thing as society” we need to build our tools for this anti “common sense” statement.
The advantage of “governance” of the fediverse (which it needs if it is to become a part of our #openweb based society that is essential for social change/challenge in the era of #climatechaos) is that the is non, this is a good thing.
The Fediverse comes from the “cats” of libertarianism and to a lesser extent anarchism without the (O)
In this, we don’t HAVE to think how it fits into current working practices and current economics. Rather, people PUSHING these “common sense” solutions to the fediverse “governance” problems are a part of the problem, not a solution that might work.
To be “native” to the fediverse we need to use code to build “society”. Organizing for SocialHub Community Empowerment has to be anti “common sense” as the fediverse itself is.

Remember the project comes from the life time lived expirence of a culture, as all the best one do.
Social change groups have worked in this way to challenge and change power structures on the ground. Some examples of Social change groups: from squats, protest camps, climate camps; to indymedia, Reclaim the Streets; to XR and even Occupy.
Rainbow Gatherings are a working example of this grassroots governance. They have been going on for 50 years and the core is still based on the founding traditions which came from the Vietnam War - not the hippy dippy origins that people talk about.
I have been at the hart of organising these events for generations, back to my granparents.

Also, in case you are submitting to one of the NGI related funds, at that point we will need to share some information with our (not-for-profit) partner organisations in order so they may assist you with mentoring as well as complementary services e.g. accessibility, documentation, localisation, packaging, etc. By submitting a proposal you grant us permission to handle the data in the proposal in the manner described.
