Delete Branch "%!s(<nil>)"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may exist for a short time before cleaning up, in most cases it CANNOT be undone. Continue?
We need to create plugins to add our mastodon and other activertypub OMN websites/resorces to the search engine.
intresting https://search.social/about
That link is interesting.
Having a deeper look. Contacted author re API/scraping.
Made we wonder, the defaults for our instances should probably be "not-public" for activism, "publicly indexable" for campaign.
What are your feelings though?
@hamishcampbell @bashrc
Are we "opt-in" or "-out" by default?
And we should be clear about this on the front page perhaps.
Its social media.
Activertypub is nively open so we would be doing security theater to say its secure.
We solve this with a privacy statement about useing encrypted chat apps or better offline for stuff that is not open.
Think we have this for the mastodons (cant find it?)
We must not be seduced by securaty theater 🙂
I remember this.
I didn't mean to portray anything as secure, but given there's an option to at least
"opt-out" from search engine indexing, maybe we pick a certain default.
As you say, we already clearly state that the instances are not places for secure discussion.
